Champions Square continues to closely monitor the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) globally and any potential impact it may have on our day-to-day operations. Providing a safe environment for our clients, visitors, guests and team members has always been our top priority.
We've worked closely with local & state officials, and Ochsner Health to develop a comprehensive health and safety plan, which is outlined below:
COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing for Events
As required by the City of New Orleans for entry into our venues for events, all ticketholders age 12 and above, staff, vendors and participants must provide evidence of 1) having received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine that has received full approval or emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or the World Health Organization or 2) evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to entering the event.
Prior to entry, each person may present their verified digital proof of vaccination (LA Wallet or other official government sanctioned app) or an original, digital photograph or photocopy (both sides) of their CDC vaccination card. They may also present an official vaccination record issued by another state, foreign nation or the WHO. In lieu of vaccination verification, you may also present a negative PCR test result that has been taken within the last 72 hours.
Masks will also be required at all times other than when actively eating or drinking.
FREE vaccines are readily available at health centers and pharmacies in every community. You can visit Ochsner.org/vaccineinfo for a list of Ochsner locations that offer the vaccine.
Face coverings will be mandatory for all fans and staff, and must be worn at all times (other than while actively eating or drinking). Failure to comply with this policy may result in ejection from Champions Square.
As you move around Champions Square, where possible, please be mindful to continue moving and do not block aisles and always be courteous with other patrons.
Touch free hand sanitizer locations will be placed throughout Champions Square near concession locations, entrances to restrooms, walkways into seating sections, restrooms and guest services locations.
The health and safety of our team members and guests is a priority for Champions Square. To assist with patron spacing, the below updates have been made to the current concession areas:
- For food and beverage at concession stands, we accept credit and debit card transactions only. Cash is no longer accepted.
- Portable bars and food offerings will be spaced throughout Champions Square to provide appropriate spacing for line queuing
- Masks and gloves are required for all staff working concession stands and portable locations
To ensure a safe environment for our guests, all personnel will follow the below protocols when interacting with fans:
- Must wear face masks, and exercise hand hygiene at all times.
- Attempt to maintain six feet distance from guests.
- Be courteous at all times and strive to keep conversations short.
- Do not physically interact with fans. No handshakes, "high fives", fist pumps, etc.
When working in an area that includes high touch points, ensure this area is regularly tended to with disinfectants. These locations include the following:
- Concession stands/condiment areas
- Door Handles
- Guest Services desk
